The Mix-Tec project

The core of the project

The project "Mix-Tec - Mixed Technolgies for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises" was funded by the EU under the Erasmus+ program from April 2022 to March 2023.

Starting points of the project

• Virtual reality and augmented reality (VR/AR) are gaining importance for the training of professionals. They enable an intensive visual impression of objects and processes that are too complex, too costly or too risky to be used directly in a learning context.
• At the same time, there are difficulties in terms of content, technology and didactics, as well as a complex technical implementation process and high costs. The new technology is perceived as interesting, but does not lead to truly in-depth learning.
• It should be clarified which technologies are to be preferred in a specific use case, i.e. where and when which hardware and which media presentation could be most useful and cost-efficient.

Aims of the project

• To organize an exchange of experience between practitioners,
• Develop pathways to targeted, cost-effective, and flexible VR/AR solutions,
• Provide concepts and guidelines on how to achieve targeted and effective use of VR/AR.
